Giovanni Badamo in art "Jò Badamo " ,Italian painter, was born the 16th November 1965
in Castellammare del Golfo, Siciliy, where he lives and works. Since he was a child, thanks
to love and passion for art, he begins a defined path looking for a personal expressive language.
In 1997 he elaborates several episodes recounted to him, when he was a child, by his grandparents
and father.Those stories, described the hard country life, and how farmers were proud of living in a
such genuine and natural life, forgetting the hardness of their work, and moreover proud of their
human values.He starts to show to the new generation his roots from where he extract his first artistic
expression, recovery of the memorial of rural civilization.
At the end of 1999 he meets the known critic Nic Giaramita,from Trapani, beginning his true artistic career.
The critic shows an interest in him , and after a few months of collaboration and studies, on the 12th August 2000, he mark a first step in direct contact with public and critics that decree his high artistic style
quality specially for his clean and exciting monochromatism. This"new adventure" makes him famous outside his urban home. After five years of reflection, with the intent to experiment a new perceptions, in 2005 he prepares another personal expo, but with an exactly style, beginning a new artistic language,
permeated of surrealism.At the end of 2005 he joined other artists, in a new artistic movement called
"Impressionismo Dianoetico",sharing with them the real principle of motion.The year after, he decides to
leave the movement to give vent to his innate search for new applications, leading him to continue independenthy.
